Holyween. Holyween is a special event serving over 150 underprivileged children in the Acres Homes and surrounding communities.  Holyween provides a safe alternative to Halloween where children take a journey through various “stations” that are strategically placed in a circle around an apartment complex.  Each station presents a different game or activity for the children to participate in as they collect candy and portions of a message that will allow them to re-enter the main auditorium.  After they have completed their journey, they return to the auditorium with the “passwords” that allow them to enter and then they are served food and awarded certificates of participation. Holyween is a fun-for-all event.  Workers and volunteers enjoy watching the kids run around trying to re-gain access to the main auditorium by completing the  various games and activities.
